3D model description

Lithophane box of everyone's favourite space kitten. Using RGB LEDs this lithophane lights up in a beautiful rainbow among the stars.

This lithophane is powered by a Wemos D1 board and WLED firmware allowing a high degree of control of the various lighting settings. Arrange the LEDs in a 9x9 grid with the center offset to get the correct position for the lighting. Refer to the picture to determine the correct placement of the LEDs for maximum effect.

Components Required:
- Wemos D1 mini control board
- WS2812 LED x 9
- Small lengths of wire x 9

This lithophane is powered by the awesome WLED firmware. This firmware has many features including integrations with many home automation setups. The firmware is open source and available here: https://github.com/Aircoookie/WLED

Included in the download is the lithophane, a box to hold the electronics and LEDs along with a tray to support the LEDs in the proper position. Refer to the included wiring diagram and make sure the LEDs are oriented in the correct way according to the data arrows.

3D printing settings

The lithophane should be printed at a slow speed to reduce the layer lines as much as possible. White PLA will work well to get the maximum detail and light through the lithophane.
