3D model description

After fighting with Bowden setups on my E-bot I took the plunge and bought a Titan by E3D. Having to mount this I developed a new standard mounting plate for my E-bot. This plate has a pattern of holes with space for 4-40 nuts to be inserted. This provides great strength and maximum flexibility in parts and upgrade.

Also included with these plates are the mount for the Titan and E3D V-6 hotend. A mount and duct for a 40mm fan. A mount for a capacitive sensor for auto bed leveling and a mount for zip tying your cables to the carriage. Printed at 0.2mm layer thickness with 2 perimeters and 30% infill out of ABS.

KNOWN ISSUES:
- Belt clamp is 2mm prouder than it should be. This causes the belt to approach the carriage from a slight angle. The closest the carriage can come to the belt bearings is 12mm. This distance along with the 2mm proudness and pythagoras tells us that this induces an error at the extreme min and max of the printer of 0.17 mm (0.0065 in). Due to the small nature of this error and how quickly small angles dominate I chose to rather have a thicker plate then a perfectly parallel belt.

  • Belt clamps seem weaker than I would like. Probably should print with 100% infill.

EDITS
- Added a left fan duct that has room for the hotend wires to run beside it.
- Replaced the Titan Mount with a new more robust version. On the old version, when the nozzle was too close to the bed, the drive gear would push on the filament and bend the titan mounting plate backwards. This fatigued the part and would have eventually cause the mount to break.
- Added BLTouch mount as a remix
- Added RJ-45 jack mount as a remix
