[EN] MY ANYCUBIC I3 MEGA-S UPGRADE GUIDE

Surfing the Internet I've found just half of the upgrades that i had in mind for my printer...
So I've decided to make my own guide because I think that can help other peoples like me.

The guide is in PDF and contain all the Thingiverse source page with all the printable upgrades that I've used.

This is the upgrades list:

  • TMC2208 stepper drivers installation (with some UART config);

  • Custom Firmware for tuning the printer (I'm also working on the Marlin 2.0 version);

  • Custom X-Carriage (Ai3M X-Carriage Mk4... awesome carriage);

  • Fan upgrade (blower for part cooling and 40mm for hotend cooler...the other two are WIP);

  • Hotbed better cable holder for augment the lifespan of the hotbed cable soldering;

  • Z-Axis "top of the screw" holders for reducing noisy vibrations and wobble;

  • Stealth (or hidden) Raspberry Pi installation for Octoprint Server.

  • Z-Axis Webcam Mount

  • DSI 3,5" Touchscreen with Octoprint full integration

Future modifications will be added to this project... so stay tuned for more.


[IT] LA MIA GUIDA AGLI UPGRADES PER LA ANYCUBIC I3 MEGA-S

Navigando in Internet ho trovato giusto la metà delle modifiche che avevo in mente per la mia stampante... quindi ho deciso di scrivere la mia guida personale per far si che possa aiutare persone come me.

Questa guida è in PDF e contiene tutte le pagine Thingiverse da cui ho scaricato gli upgrades stampabili.

Questa è la lista delle modifiche:

  • Installazione degli stepper driver TMC2208 (con un po' di configurazione UART);

  • Firmware personalizzato per migliorare le prestazioni della stampante (sto anche lavorando sulla versione 2.0 di Marlin);

  • X-Carriage migliorato (Ai3M X-carriage Mk4... fantastico carrello);

  • Sostituzione delle ventole (blower per il raffreddamento del pezzo e 40mm per il r raffreddamento dell'hotend... le altre due sono WIP);

  • Fissaggio migliorato dei cavi dell'hotbed per allungare la vita delle saldature;

  • Supporti per la punta delle viti dell'asse Z utili a ridurre vibrazioni rumorose e instabilità delle viti

  • Installazione invisibile del Rasperry Pi per utilizzare Octoprint.

  • Supporto su asse Z per webcam

  • Touchscreen DSI 3,5" con integrazione Octoprint

Future modifiche saranno aggiunte a questo progetto... quindi restate sintonizzati.
