3D model description

Purpose of this small project is not to add useless box stl, but create Fusion 360 fully customized project to be able to quickly generate right box for the right occasion by changing a few parameters in a matters of seconds.

There are three fusion files:
* universal box no lock.f3d - simple box without any lock mechanism. Even tho lid sits firmly on box body (https://a360.co/2JavAJz)
* universal box with magnetic lock.f3d - box with space for magnets in each corner. You can customize not only box/lid parameter but size of magnets, gaps etc. (https://a360.co/2GUUR7L)
* universal_box_with_mechanical_lock.f3d - box with mechanical lock (https://a360.co/2JbIAi6)

All parameters can be edited within User Parameters defined within the project - check sshot for more details. Names of parameters are selfexplanatory:

  • box_height
  • box_width
  • box_length
  • perimeter - extruder width. shell is defined as number of perimeters
  • shell - width of the shell
  • corner filet
  • gap
  • lock_height - for mechanical lock box it defines height of the locking mechanism
  • magnet diameter
  • magnet height
  • magnet_gap
  • magnet_spacing
  • lid_height
