3D model description

It's a well known Space Communist Tropical Ferocious Fish.

If you miss classic ship that is not made any more, this one is for you. Not only it is very close to original, but you can also get magnetized side drone guns, landing gear/landing leg doors, main weapon and rocket compartment magnetised that can go up and down (and lock magnetically). Ha! Even rockets are fully modelled and can go in and out from compartment for your gaming pleasures! And there is a pilot with a seat as well ;-)

Magnets I used are 3x3x3mm. I think you will need around 33 of them.

There are “Deprecated” folders. These are some previous configurations around rocket compartment and fuselage. Different model splitting. I decided to leave it there just in case. You can ignore them.

UPD:
I've added heavy burst cannon and short range railgun as a main weapon options and cyclic ion blaster as a drone gun. Now you can play latest codex ;-)

3D printing settings

I was supporting in Lychee. Those (.lys) files are included. There are pre-supported stls as well.
Some of the individual Lychee files have hollowing enabled with holes. Wings, fuselage halves and rocket compartment containers are among them. Unfortunately there is no way to export supported and hollowed parts into stl from lychee. :-( So if you don't use Lychee for generating your printer artifacts - you are on your own with hollowing. Another annoying problem of Lychee - even if you do use it for slicing, there is only one hollowing setting for all models. If you hit that problem, just set it to 1.1mm wall thickness and around 12% infill.

Almost all supports are touching faces that are not visible, so there should be minimum cleanup. Because of that I am using a lot of very heavy supports in many places. You might want to use clippers to cut those away.

Since parts are big there can be a bit of a warp along the length of a fuselage (haven’t noticed that when printing fuselage in two parts). In the end when you glue wings to the fuselage you might need to apply force on both ends of a wing to join with the fuselage.
