This is the wasteboard I've made for may 3018 CNC Router.

I used a 12mm MDF for this. Added some 4mm blind nuts and attached it to the aluminum base with 4mm screws also.

Attached to this are some 3d printed clamps and hold downs.

All screws and nuts are 4mm.

As pictured, I've added a wire to one of the clamps, this way I can use the Z height probe easily on PCBs.

To make the wasteboard I asked a friend with a big router to cut some 12mm MDF in 300x180mm blocks and the rest I did it myself for the fun of it.

Waste Board - Top - Guides.svg - Simple engraved guides 10mm spaced. I've done this with a V-bit at 0.4 deep pass.

Please check all measures and positions of the holes before drilling and carving the MDF

There are many 3018 on the market and they are not identical. These measures worked for me and "may" or "may not" work for you, so please check against your aluminum bed before carving and drilling the MDF.
