3D model description

Intended for 3D Print.

A heavy-duty mechanical gripper, usable as an autoloader for tanks and artillery, or as a grim instrument of demolition in its own right . Intended to be used with either the Panzer Buggy kit, or Orc Panzer Buggy kits (sold separately). Links to these kits below.
The Autoloader/ Crusher Crane is intended to be used on the main tower hardpoint (ie the place where the top escape hatch or AA gun turret is mounted on the base kits). But it can be mounted on other hardpoints in a pinch, or used entirely separately from the Panzer Buggy.

The kit contains six parts. See below for a detailed list. Some assembly is required, and the finished kit allows for some minor variation in posing. The arm can be rotated up and down at its base, and the entire array can be swiveled left and right. You can use the images provided on this page to guide you in assembly.
The model parts are packaged in three separate .stl files. They are prescaled to 28mm scale, and internally consistent (ie they are scaled to fit each other). The parts are also prescaled to fit the default scale of the parts included in the Panzer Buggy kit.

Detailed parts list

  • Autoloader/ Crusher Crane. This .stl file contains the mechanical gripping arm, and the housing it is mounted on, in two separate parts.
  • Autoloader/ Crusher Crane, Large Version. This .stl file is identical to the one described above, but the parts are larger in size. Note that these two sizes are only suggestions- you can rescale the arm and housing to just about any size you desire. Just remember to not rescale the autoloader platform (in a separate .stl file), as the platform has to remain at default scale to fit the main tower hardpoint.
  • Autoloader/ Crusher Crane Platform. This .stl file contains the platform on which the arm and housing are mounted on. The platform is in turn mounted onto the Panzer Buggy hardpoint. The platform's default scale is selected to fit the main tower hardpoint, but you can resize the platform somewhat and use it on other hardpoints.
  • Large Corrugated Iron Base. Just in case you need it...
