3D model description

This is a phone mount for bicycles, designed to incorporate all the functions I wanted in this sort of mount.

  1. A slot that friction fits an Alcatel U5 (you'll need to modify it for your phone's dimensions)
  2. A hole for a Micro-USB cable to charge the phone on the road.
  3. Fitting points and a mount for a RunCam HD
  4. Fitting points for an LED headlamp.
  5. Provision for wiring.
  6. A space for taking a credit card and keys.
  7. Clamping space for 25.4mm diameter handlebars (adjust for your own bike)
  8. Rafts for printing successfully in ABS.*
  • Printing in ABS is strongly recommended. Early designs were produced in PLA and cracked regularly. ABS with 8+ perimeters and an Acetone bath make it nearly indestructible.

The photos of the red mount are of an early prototype with a ZTE Blade.

I recommend IP Bike for Android as a bike computer for a mobile phone, but that's really up to personal preference.
