The WhistleBlower - Prusa i3 X Carriage for E3D Chimera with built-in layer fan

What is this?

The WhistleBlower is a compact , small and light x-carriage for Prusa i3 with an integrated mount for E3D Chimera or Cyclops dual head

Disclaimer

This is a work in progress. I'm currently printing and trying the last prototypes.
Be aware that no print has been made with this head/mount combo yet
Also, the nozzles end up significantly higher on the Z axis (approx 15mm), you may need to lower you Z axis endstop.

Fan support

This carriage includes an integrated mount for a radial fan at the back, used as a layer fan through the inbuilt air duct.

Unlike many other mounts, it uses a radial fan ("blower" type) instead of the classic 40mm fan, allowing much better cooling though significantly increased air pressure

No more dangling fans on the sides of the carriage, or stacked fans on top of the radiator, your printer's head remains clean and compact.

This designs also lets the radiator's front and top clear, allowing you to easily mount additional equipement (eg: bed sensors)

Head mounting

The radiators is mounted from the back for increased stability, and easy access to the bowden tubes pre-tensionners

Multiple mount block of varying thickness are included to fit your specific needs, all equipped with eyelets for strain relief and guidance of the head's cables

Extras

The carriage also sports a drag-chain slot (for prusa i3 variants like BQ Hephestos)
A "No drag-chain" version is also available.

The carriage also includes a customizable x-axis endstop "finger" to suit your printer"s specific positionning of the switch
