3D model description

This is a ceiling lamp which consists of 53 different parts which are organized as plug-in system.

The assembled lamp has a total height of ~37cm and a maximum diameter of ~60cm. The total weight (printed with gold PLA and the settings described below) is just below 1kg.

Top-down the angle of each segment level increases as follows: 10°, 20°, 40°, 55°, 70°

All plugs have 0.2mm tolerance for a better fitting. This is the perfect amount for my printer, but take care since the parts with 55° and 70° overhangs can get a bit fragile.

All parts of the inner structure are 2mm thick while the outer segments are 1mm thick.

Variations

Its overall shape is somewhat similar to a pinecone. An additional decor increases the amount of emitted light and creates intresting shadow patterns. To match your personal flavor (and your printers capabilities), I added three different versions of each segment:
- Full solid
- Overhangpart solid (on the photos)
- Full decor

Print Instructions

In total you have to print 53 parts for the lamp. Each inner ring (InnerRing*.stl) needs to be printed once, all other files 8 times.

Since I am a little bit lazy, you have to rotate the parts to lay flat on your printbed

Additional Information

I couldn't provide pictures of the lamp in function since I have no matching bulb at the moment.

Please see Print Settings for some hints which helped me printing the lamp.

Assembly instructions can be found in Post-Printing section
