3D model description

I am currently experimenting with connecting existing common / repurposed parts with 3d printed pieces in order to make interesting and usefull things.

This is a little spice rack custom designed to fit on the edge of a shelf in my kitchen.
It uses 3 mm bamboo skewers (exactly 35 of them) that you will need to cut to the size you need.

The design is composed of 2 structural pieces (print the one included in the thing's files and mirror the model in your slicer to print the second) that are attached to the edge of my shelf with wood screws and preexisting screw-holes as well as smaller washer-like parts (you'll need to print 10 of them) that will attach seven 3 mm bamboo skewers together. These washer part will recquire an accurate enough printer to fit snuggly around the skewers but if you are not able to fit the skewers in them i recommand trying to scale them up a bit in your slicer.

You should cut the skewers to size in order to have a tight fit WITHOUT the small washer part first and then, and only then, add them to secure everything. Please be very carefull with this design and test its solidity before putting anything on it. Do not try to put anything on it before having a tight fit for the bamboo skewers and none of them moving. The last thing you want is all your glass spice jars falling on the top of your head.
This was not designed to support an enormous amount of weight, it is intended to be used as a simple spice rack, nothing more. I am not responsible if something wrong happens.
You might want to remix the model if you want to make it more generic / adapted to your needs.
