Fully functional desk lamp in Steampunk style

Overview:

  • 75 idividual parts for 3D print
  • Assembled lamp consist 137 pieces of 3D printed parts, 336 screws and 37 nuts
  • All 3D printed parts weighs ~2.6kg (PLA filament)
  • All parts can be printed on 200mm x 200mm bed or bigger
  • Most of the parts no need support when 3D print

Design updates:

  • EDIT 2023.12.16: Part B4 and B6 (springs) dimensions added – page 24
  • EDIT 2021.05.27: Part numbers: A1, A7, A44, A45, A68, A69 is now in revision 2. There was issue with hole sizes, holes was to small for dedicated screws. All screws used in project stays same.
  • EDIT 2021.06.23: Part number A51 is now in revision 2. There was an issue with fixing bulb holder. Now should works fine.
  • EDIT 2021.06.24: Part number A18, A28 is now in revision 2. Parts are updated and now works with springs that you can buy from Aliexpress. You can find links under lamp description.
  • EDIT 2021.08.21: Part number A1 is now in revision 3 and A5, A29 revision 2. There was an issue with hole sizes, holes was to small for dedicated screws.
  • EDIT 2021.09.02: Parts A2, A3, A9, A16, A17, A18v2, A19, A20, A21, A22, A24, A28v2, A30, A31, A38, A39, A41, A42, A44v2, A45v2, A47, A48 moved to next revision (A2v2, A3v2, A9v2, A16v2, A17v2, A18v3, A19v2, A20v2, A21v2, A22v2, A24v2, A28v3, A30v2, A31v2, A38v2, A39v2, A41v2, A42v2, A44v3, A45v3, A47v2, A48v2) - There was an issue with hole sizes, holes was to small for dedicated screws.

3D printing settings

  • If you want to paint you can print with 0.3mm layer height
  • use 3 wall lines
  • 5 bottom and top layers
  • 20% infill
  • nozzle - 0.4mm or 0.6mm (on all my prints I use 0.6mm)
