Growing up in the Cold War era in a military household I got regular exposure to all kinds of military books on equipment, tactics, etc. I always seemed to love Soviet Armor. As I got older I noticed the distinct resemblance of Warhammer 40k's Imperial Guard to the Soviet Russian Army. The idea was born - Make a Guards Motor Rifle conversion showcasing Soviet arms, armor and equipment in a way that pays homage to both 40k and the Cold War.

This model is part of that conversion. Intergalactic Guards Motor Rifle Division - Intergalactic Guard Motor Rifle Infantry SVD Dragun Las-Sniper.

We are the darkness, we are the Baba Yaga. No enemy of the Imperium can hid or outrun the long arm of the Dragon pattern Las-Sniper rifle. Capable of putting a lasbolt through a xenos eye at over 300m, this gun is capable of casting a long shadow across the field of battle. Xenos Beware!

I have sculpted these for 15mm (the size I chose to do my project) However, they are easily scalable to 28mm by increasing the size by 186.6%. I have also included the Blender file so you can play around with hatches and edit weapons etc.
