3D model description

The standard K8200 extruder filament entry guide will wear down pretty fast when printing particulate-loaded, abrasive filaments like brick, ceramic, or glow-in-the-dark.

This improved filament entry guide should last at least 3x longer (note the photo showing a worn-out standard guide on the right and the improved guide on the left. The standard guide didn't even last a whole kilogram of glow-in-the-dark filament).

This improved guide is also easier to remove and replace; just

grab the big ears with a pair of pliers and out she pops!

3D printing settings

I designed the guide in OpenSCAD (pull down the file), measuring my worn-out extruder guide as a template.

I printed it two-up in gray Velleman PLA at 190C extruder, 50C bed, right on the K8200 that needed the new extruder inlet guide.
