TNH-P tank .stl pack

$5.00

This AFV would certainly fit into the category of “niche”. In the mid 1930s Czechoslovakia had a vibrant arms industry and was able to find customers throughout the globe, selling small arms, artillery, and some imaginative AFV designs.

One customer was Persia, also known by the new title of Iran. The Iranians were already producing Brno small arms under licence from the Czechs. In the mid-1930s an Iranian delegation travelled to Europe, to shop for tanks and other armoured vehicles. The Czechs were able to offer modern vehicles, specific to Iranian needs, at a price that undercut other offerings (the Vickers 6-ton for example).

The Iranians purchased both the Czech AH-IV tankette, as well as the Praha TNH , which was then in development. The Iranians had input to the design and made a significant (for the time) purchase of 60 models of the TNH-P tank. The TNH-P tank is different from the subsequent models the Czechs built for other customers – e.g. the Swedes (Strv m/41), the Peruvians (the THN-S), the Swiss (the LTH), and Lithuania (the LTL). For example, the top deck is shorter, the turret is round, and the rear plate more vertical.

These tanks saw action resisting the Anglo-Soviet occupation of Iran in late 1941.

This model has files for both FDM and for resin printing. The resin files include pre-supported and hollowed files as well as the original files.
