3D model description

These mini rear eject bomb rockets are made to fly on Estes 13mm motors, specifically A3-4T and A10-3T. They might be too heavy for the 1/2 A's

They have an inner motor pod that pops out of the bottom of the rocket and the whole thing falls down nose first, like a bomb is supposed to.

You will need some Estes BT-55 body tubing for the bodies. I used 100mm for the "F-bomb" variant and slightly less for the red one, which was made from scrap tube left laying around.

In my original designs, as you will see if you watch the videos, I used two streamers for recovery. One for the rocket and one for the motor tube. But the rocket came down pretty fast that way and would have destroyed itself if it wasn't on soft sod. Furthermore it could have hurt someone had it hit them. So I plan to re-vamp mine by running the kevlar line from the rocket to the tube and then from the tube to a small chute so the whole assembly comes down in a line. A 6" chute should suffice as these are pretty small.

I flew both these on A3-4T's and they flew pretty good. Here's links to the videos...

UPDATE: Changed configuration to use a 6" chute with the motor tube in-line to the rocket as shown in the photo. These drop just a little too fast on streamers alone. Not because of weight, but because they come down nose first.

You can print my bomb cradle (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4622791) at half size to display this rocket on.
