3D model description

'ROCKETZ' are a 5 part interlocking model of a cartoon style rocket. The lower four stages are storage compartments and the top / capsule is functions as the cap for the stage below it. Refer to the images for additional information.

The largest storage capacity stage is at the base (engines) and each of the stage further up the 'ROCKETZ' reduces in capacity. The total height of 'ROCKETZ' is 235mm with all stages fitted. Be creative by printing 'ROCKETZ' in your color/s of choice... or print different stages in different colors.

Each stage lock together by aligning the lugs with the opposing parts slots, pushing the parts together then rotating 120 degrees to lock in place. This means you can carry your 'ROCKETZ' around and they won't fall apart. It also means you can access a single stage to add / remove things without opening the other stages.

'ROCKETZ' will take time to print but they are well worth the time and plastic... the result is a unique model that can be used to store away all sorts of small things from Lego / toys to nuts / bolts / screws, electronic parts / components and any other small things you need to store away.

The stages are all easy prints. No support is required. Raft is recommended for the engines and capsule in particular due to having less contact area with the build plate than stages 1 / 2 / 3.

The joint clearances have been intentionally left slightly loose to ensure most machines should be able to print this well with no issues and interlock correctly for use. If you want to uniformly scale it down 10% should be okay but any more is likely to reduce the clearances too much so the stages won't interlock.

Please refer to the print settings and images for additional information.... and post your pictures of the 'ROCKETZ' you make being put to good use.
