3D model description

These models were rendered using MATLAB R2016a on the ICQ models of the PSI made from the data of the Cassini mission. Atlas and Pan are made in the scale one in one million; Daphnis, because of its smaller size, is made in the scale one in 80 thousand; and the three moons are made in the scale of one in 200 thousand and one in 500 thousand.
The file's names explained: name_1_x_10_y.stl is 1 : x * 10y. So _1_6_10_7 is 1:600000000 or one in 60 million.

S18 Pan
This moon was predicted to exist within the Encke Gap, a wide discontinuity of the Saturn rings. It is one of the so called "ravioli moons" after its shape. These moons are known as shepherd moons, they orbit close to a ring and help to maintain the ring, preventing its accretion.
Type: Satellite.
Orbit: Saturn.
Orbital period: 13 h 48 min 4 s.
Composition: Icy body, mostly water ice.
Density: 0.42 g/cm3.

Dimensions: 34.4 km × 31.4 km × 20.8 km.
Model scale: 1:2x105 (17cm) 1:5x105 (7cm) 1:1x106 (3.5cm)

S35 Daphnis
Its existence was suspected because of ripples (or waves) in the rigns that it is shepherding.
Type: Satellite.
Orbit: Saturn.
Orbital period: 14 h 15 min 28 s.
Composition: Icy body, mostly water ice, rubble pile.
Density: 0.48 g/cm3.

Dimensions: 8.6 km × 8.2 km × 6.4 km.
Model scale: 1:8x104 (11cm) 1:2x105 (4cm) 1:2x105 (1.6cm)

S15 Atlas
Very similar to Pan, but flatter. Its equatorial ridge is soft, probably made of deposited material from the rings. Its orbit is highly perturbed by Prometheus and Pandora . The A ring of Saturn may be maintained by Atlas, but it may be also maintained by a 7:6 resonance with Janus and Epimetheus.
Type: Satellite.
Orbit: Saturn.
Orbital period: 14 h 26 min 26 s.
Composition: Icy body, mostly water ice, rubble pile.
Density: 0.48 g/cm3.

Dimensions: 40.8 km × 35.4 km × 18.8 km.
Model scale: 1:2x105 (20cm) 1:5x105 (8cm) 1:1x106 (4cm)
