This is a support for SSD disks to be used in a Mac Pro.

The design is a remix of the work of cliffcheney (https://www.thingiverse.com/cliffcheney/designs), who in turn remixed the design of CuriousExistence (https://www.thingiverse.com/curiousexistence/designs).

We are grateful for the work and time that these two people have dedicated to this design with the sole purpose of sharing.

I didn't use any of the original screws that come with the Mac Pro to hold the mechanical drives in place. Those screws come with rubber so that vibrations from the mechanical drive are not transmitted to the rest of the computer and vice versa. SSDs have no moving parts.

Instead I've used the typical screws that hold DVD or CD drives in PCs. Two of these need to be short in length as the SSD disk sits on them.

The original screws can be screwed into this SSD holder so they don't get lost.

Once the holder and the disk are mounted, insert into the computer with caution. Do not force by pushing hard. Check that it has printed well and that it is properly inserted in its place.
