Quintesson Cruiser from Transformers the Movie

Here's another iconic ship from back in the days of Transformers the Movie spinning into the Iconic Ships Series!

This spacecraft which is commonly referred to as the cockscrew ship is a very different looking space cruiser to say the least.

In order to hold up its strange geometry, a custom fitted stand which would hold on to one of the disc-shaped segments is employed:

Or if you prefer to have this piece displayed vertically like how it landed to drop off Hot Rod and gang, one could simply use a display stand or holder of some sort:

The photos show a resin 3d printed version of the cruiser, but just as a comparison, here is a very draft early sizing model printed using a FDM printer.

In terms of 3d printing and putting this together, it's a matter of putting the head, tail and body pieces together.

For FDM printing, it may be easier to use the version where the body is separated into two halves and print them each with the flat side placed on the print bed.
