3D model description

Here is a battery charging docking station. The modules are capable of quick charging so you can quickly charge your phone and batteries all in one package.

You will need the following components:

Charging Modules
Micro-USB Male Connectors
Barrel Connector
Power Supply
USB-C Male Connector
-I did not use this exact one, I cut open the usb-c cable that came with the AUKEY battery, but this should work.
Heat Set Inserts
M3 x 30 qty. 4
M2 x 6 qty.1

I took some pliers and crushed the usb-a connector off three of the boards, I couldn't figure a better way to remove them but this seemed to work and luckily it would break the pins away from the solder pads without ruining the solder pads. I didn't heat up the solder or remove the solder before crushing though that would probably make the usb-a removal process much more reliable. This design requires the usb-a connectors be removed.

After the usb-a connectors are removed from the board the rest of assembly is pretty straightforward.
-Install the heat set inserts into the Charging Dock Top
-Solder boards together as shown in the pictures (I soldered some wire to all the boards then installed them onto the bottom plate then I cut the wires from the boards to length and daisy chained them together)
-Solder male connectors to the boards
-Install the board clamp using the M2 screw
-Install the barrel connector onto the housing
-Solder the daisy chained boards to the barrel connector pins
-Feed the male connectors through the respective tapered square holes in the housing and close the bottom plate onto the bottom of the housing
-Install the tapered clamp halves onto the male connectors, you may need a dab of super glue or some adhesive to hold the tapered clamp halves in place while installing the lid
-After the tapered clamp halves are installed onto the connectors, feed the wires back into the housing while maintaining the correct orientation with respect to the batteries though the usb-c doesnt matter with orientation.
-Install the Top in the correct orientation and screw it all together using the four M3 x 30 screws
-You're Done!

I printed the tapered clamp halves with a resin printer but you may be able to get away with a fine resolution fdm print.

The download includes a step file of the full assembly which includes models of the batteries, the male connectors, basic board models, the barrel connector model and all the 3d printed parts as well.

3D printing settings

I printed the FDM parts at 0.3mm layer heights and I printed the tapered clamp halves in resin.

I used PETG for my prints which would be recommended since the boards run a little hot when delivering high levels of power.
