Potknob

Update 2022-02-04
Added photos of the used potknob,
still looking great and working flawlessly.
Photos at the end of the line.

Cooked a lot of potatoes, noodles, vegetables
and soups. Washed mainly with hand but
also (seldom) with dishwasher.

Added two extra designs,
seen on the new photos in aluminium PLA.
Tall is the one printed,
short exists only as model, but should print
also without any hassle.
(diameter of connection hole is 5mm in that one)

A simple knob for the pot.

I needed supports and cooling for this print.
Both may be not necessary in most cases,
but with my, in no way calibrated &crazy lazy maintained, printer,
it was.

The hole in the middle is 3,5mm in diameter.

Two other knobs i designed, printed and use,
with a mileage of about five years,
including hand washing and dish washer usage,
on a regular base up to four times a week,
were out of DevilDesign PETG and PLA.

This now is manufactured with DevilDesign Silk Gold,
which is a composition of PETG&PLA.

Iam eager to see how the knob handles the heat of cooking.

The former PETG could withstand the temperatures
of thousands pound of cooked
noodles and potatoes and vegetables and puddings.

The PLA one withstands all that too, dishwasher, daily usage
and so on, but is kinda flexmelted around the
welded 'mountingscrew' when temperature raises.

Flat side on the bed,
maybe some support,
a little cooling,
and it could get hot.
