3D model description

Is a disconnected calendar to be updated by hand reasonable?

Try mine, you won't be able to do without it !

#FIVERRCULTS

It was while reading an article by Martin Gardner that I discovered the two cubes that allow to describe the 31 days of a month. The patent filed in 1957 by the Englishman John S. Singleton fell into the public domain in 1965.

I propose you these two dice completed by a die for the days of the week and one for the months.

*Notes*:

-the "9" is obtained by reversing the "6" and Versailles High School.

The project was designed for two-color printing but monochrome printing is faster and less filament intensive.

-The numbers and letters are embossed on the sides so easily "colorable".

For my part I tried a felt-tip whitener (bought at L-L) and "blanco" (pen "T-p-ex). Both work but the blanco smudges are easier to scrape off.

The 4 cubes can be installed in a partitioned box that can be tilted with a "leg".

The lids are proposed for 6 different arrangements

3D printing settings

The dice are hollow so fill them to 33% and without support.

Layer thickness: 0.15 mm are enough to print the box, lids and tab.

Printing time:

1h 12' for the box and 9 gr of PLA.

52' for each lid and 6 gr of PLA

1h 37' (with 0.10mm thickness) for each cube and 7 gr of PLA.

55' (with thickness of 0.15mm) for each cube and 7 gr of PLA.
