Description

This is an model for 3D printing of an antique light post of the streets of São Paulo - Brazil.

Those who transit through the central region of São Paulo do not fail to notice them. Beautiful, tall and charming Light's old energy poles began to be implemented in the city of São Paulo in 1927, when the energy company closed a contract with the city government and the state government to reform the public lighting in the city. With the new contract the city took a step towards modernity, leaving behind the old-fashioned lighting made by castor oil, whale or gas lamps. Some old posts were adapted to this new technology while others started to be produced in Light's workshops to meet the demand of a growing city. Over time, the posts were fully incorporated into the beautiful landscape of the central region. At dusk, it is impossible not to notice the elegant atmosphere that their points of lights bring to the streets of our city, and they quickly became symbols of São Paulo. The vast majority of these cast iron icons have ornaments that glorify the Brazilian republic, through the coat of arms and others, simpler, show stylized flowers in iron. Below is a panel with all the different energy poles offered by Light & Power.
