DIY Sprinkler Tripod Adapter

DIY Sprinkler Tripod Adapter Free 3D print model

Description

The DIY Sprinkler Tripod Adapter 3D printable model is a fix to a common problem with regular sprinkler heads. It fixes both broken sprinkler heads, and improves water coverage by elevating the sprinkler onto a common tripod. This quick release version attaches to any photo tripod with a quick release dock.

Also included with the adapter is the stabilizer foot. This too attaches to a foot of your photo tripod and counter balances the hose water pressure .

There are three versions of the Sprinkler Tripod Adapter: DIY, Screw-on, and Quick Release. This is the DIY, or Do It Yourself version, and is the cheapest. It allows you to quickly fix a sprinkler head if the ground spike has broke. You will need two zip ties to attach the sprinkler to the adapter.

Currently this will only work on US standard garden hoses. Other country's hose may vary. I plan on releasing versions for other countries. If you want to message me your country's standard hose measurements and I will get around to it quicker!

How to attach a sprinkler head to a regular tripod: 1. Gather needed materials which include a metal hacksaw, two zip ties, and your 3D printed DIY sprinkler tripod adapter 2. Using the hack saw, remove the ground spike from the sprinkler as close to the pipe base as possible. Optionally, you can use a cutting jig for a straight line, and sand down the cut, but this isn't necessary. 3. Place the sprinkler on the tripod adapter. Line them up perpendicular to the zip tie holes. 4. Attach each side of the sprinkler to the base with the zip ties 5. Snap the sprinkler tripod adapter into your photo tripod and slip the stabilizer foot onto one foot of the tripod (this foot should line up with the hose)

If you have a tripod with a screw in adapter check out the Screw On Tripod Adapter.
