Mobile Gun System module for Ajax or Boxer

This Mobile Gun System (MGS) pack adds the turret ring module for my Ajax and Boxer Modular IFVs. The module allows for proxying all codex versions of the Leman Russ with the included turret and sponsons. The module is compatible with the turrets included in the Imperial IFV packs, allowing Ajax and Boxer to proxy for all Chimera variants as well if one of those packs is owned.

This pack does not contain the chassis, you will need to have purchased either the Ajax or Boxer chassis in order to make use of this pack, they are available here:

Modularity and magnets

The vehicle is built around the use of 2mm*1mm rare earth magnets. Even the heaviest section (the mission module) can be securely held in place and can stand up to a good shake upside down without falling off. This is of course assuming that you print it hollowed out, I would not recommend doing this test with a lump of solid resin....

Sponsons are intended to be mounted through the use of magnets. The slot for the magnet mounting on the MGS module is not fully inset and is designed for the magnet to partially protrude. This allows for a strong fit when the sponsons are in use, and the protruding magnet to look like a rivet when the sponsons are not attached.

This pack contains 1 MGS mission module, 4 MGS turret variants (open/closed hatch, with/without bustle), 3 IFV turret variants, 7 main weapons without mantlet covers, 6 main weapons with mantlet covers, sponsons with 4 sponson weapons.

Like the model but don't want as many rivets? Have a different type of weapon that you would like to see included? Want some specific details added to the model? Feel free to PM me. The design itself is highly modular and it is very easy for me to remove individual parts - there are literally hundreds of individual rivets that can each be toggled on or off as needed for example.

I am happy to design small custom parts for the model and provide them free of charge. If your request is for something a bit larger than that then please ask about it anyway. I may be happy to do it just to try out some new design tools.
