3D model description

A small but important repair part for Dual brand turntables. I have testing this in my Dual 1237, but it will likely work in many other 12xx models and maybe 10xx.

  • Symptom: Automatic start or stop is broken. The tone arm lifts up, but does not move horizontally (or does not move far enough horizontally).
  • Diagnosis: a small plastic cup (german: "steuer-pimpel") provides the contact and friction necessary to move the tone arm horizontally. This part may wear or disintegrate over time.
  • Fix: print this tiny replacement cup and place it over the metal pole, restoring contact between the two parts.

Reaching the underside of the turntable is not intuitive and probably varies by model. See details on how to lift the top off by wiggling the transport screws.
