Tokyo Marui NGRS short VN style magazine casing for AEG

This is a custom designed inner casing to be able to easily modify regular short Vietnam style AEG magazines to work with the TM NGRS system. Bolt stop function is fully functional! Holds approx. 44 BBs. The magazine I'm using is from Battle axe.

The casings I have printed require only little post processing. Of course this depends on your printer's print quality. The 2 casing halves should be printed with the BB channel facing up so that you get as smooth finish as possible.

There will be support material to remove from the outside of the casing parts. Luckily this won't be visible when assembled. Mke sure the channels are smooth and remove any nerds or strings. you can try running the follower along the entire channel to confirm smooth passage. Also make sure that a BB can drop freely into the feed hole when casing halves are screwed together. Lastly, ensure smooth movement of the BB blocker.

If necessary, sand the feed ramps at the top of the BB channel. Personally I've achieved smooth operation leaving them as is.

To install the magazine casing into the shell, please file a slot towards the rear of the magazine. The slot should be 9.5-10 mm wide and 3.5-4 mm deep. Try with the lesser measurements first and adjust as required. The protruding top part of the inner casing should be flush with the top edge of the magazine shell.

I print in Sunlu PLA plus on Ender 3. For printer settings, please refer to images.
