CW/UW Devastator Drill System

This is a drill hands upgrade system for Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors Devastator. Inspired by the drills from the G1 Constructicons toys and the Transformers: Devastation video game. This is the complete Drill System in standard CW scale.

The Drill System contains Drill Bits in multiple styles and sizes, and Drill Base parts for mounting the drill bits on Devastator’s combined mode. It also contains parts to use the drills with the Constructicons’ bot modes and alt modes, as well as store the drills on Devastator’s back. This is via the Adaptor Core part which attaches to the Drill Base, along with six Adapter Modules that can be installed in the Core. See video above for full details!

To assemble, use super glue to install Clip Peg into Base. Once glue is try, insert Drill Base clip into Drill Bit. Bits spin freely on the base.

Install on Devastator by pulling apart the sides of his wrist shell to release the stock hand base, then replacing with the Drill Base. Should be compatible with all third party upgrade kits, includes slot for DNA Design wrist cover.

To use Adapter Modules to use drills in other modes, assemble by inserting an Adapter Module into an Adapter Core, then pressing the module down to lock it in place. When removing module, lift up slightly to unlock before sliding out of core. Slide Drill Base onto mounting rail at end of Adapter core. If this connection is too tight, lightly file/sand material from the side edges of the Adapter Core mounting rail. When using with stock Devastator wrist piece, first install Drill Base into wrist shell, then install Adapter Core. To uninstall from wrist shell, first remove Adapter Module from Core, then pull up on Core using the large tab on top to remove from wrist shell. See video above for full details.

Prints with no supports, except the wrist-mount modules which require supports for the handle arms. Pictured printed at 0.1mm with 3D Solutech purple filament and at 0.15mm with CC3D silk silver filament on a Prusa i3 MK3S.

For FDM printers, print the Base and Clip Peg separately, with the Clip Peg laying down on its flat side. This will produce a stronger clip. One-piece versions of the base with the clip already attached are included for those that want that option.
