3D model description

This is a scissor lift mechanism I designed to raise and lower a pit in a robot combat arena. It uses a Pololu 37D motor (300rpm in this case) and a 6mm diameter leadscrew/nut, joined via a 6mm-6mm brass coupling. A 6x15x5mm bearing holds the other end of the 100mm long leadscrew steady.

For the base, top, lift arms, and spacers both stl files for 3D printing and dxf files for laser cutting from 6mm MDF are included. If laser cutting then you will also need to cut four of the side and two of the end pieces to glue to the top and bottom plates. The motor, nut and bearing mounts all need to be 3D printed.

The main part of the mechanism uses M5 bolts and threaded rod to hold it together and let it articulate, but 3/16 bolts/threaded rod should also work. Similarly while it was designed to use M4 bolts to attach the motor and bearing mounts to the base 5/32 bolts should also work. Four M3 bolts hold the leadscrew nut to it's mount as that is what the holes on the nut should be tapped for.

Note: I messed up and originally uploaded the wrong motor/nut/bearing mounts, they should now be correct. Images still don't seem to want to display correctly, I have no idea why.
