3D model description

If you decided to convert your SCX24 car to brushless system You’ll definitely need to use compatible 0,5 mod pinion and spur gear in your motor and transmission.

Suitable pinion is not too hard to find on the internet but regarding to spur gear you have basically two relatively expensive options: metal spur gear from Hot Racing (SXTF328M05) or from Furitek. At least these two I know.
These metal gears I highly recommend in case you use high KV brushless motor (I’m using it in my Monster Truck with 7200 KV motor: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/scx24-monster-truck).

But for my two mostly slow crawlers I designed this 0,5 spur gear printed from PLA. I didn’t want to spend around 40$ just for two metal gears so I decided to use this as temporary solution. But acually I have it quite a long time and still it works well. And if it will break I’ll print new one :)

Optionally you can put one 2,5 mm washer under the spur gear. But do not tighten the nut too much!

3D printing settings

Use resolution 0.1 (or less) and 100% infill. No supports needed.
