3D model description

These should fit all QIDI resin printers (up to this point). The QIDI S-Box, I-Box Mono, 6.08 Mono, Shadow 6.0 Pro and the Shadow 5.5s

The QIDI resin printers are great, well-built resin printers. I have a couple of the S-Box variants, and the fume extraction on these leaves a lot to be desired.
So I designed these little reusable activated carbon air scrubbers for them.
The QIDI resin printers have a fan in each of the back corners that extract the air from the build area and send it out into the room.

To assemble the scrubbers:
Print them. Tolerances are tight, you may need to do a little finishing/sanding to get everything to fit.
Place a makeup removal pad (cut to fit tight to the inside edges) in the bottom of the scrubber. You could also use a cotton ball if you have that handy. Press them into the bottom.
Fill up the chamber with granulated activated carbon almost to the top. Be sure to tap the filter on the table to settle the granules. Continue filling to just shy of the top.
Place 2 more cut makeup pads (or cotton ball) on top of the granules and secure the lid.
These keep the granules from escaping from the filter.
Insert one filter into each extraction port and you are good to go!
Though these don't do quite the job of my carbon wrap whole house filters, they are far better than the ones that QIDI provides. And these should fit the other smaller QIDI resin printers.
You can reactivate the carbon by pouring it out onto a baking pan and leave it in the sun for a day or so, stirring it occasionally. Or just dump it into the trash and buy some more...
Enjoy!
