3D model description

*********** UPDATE 11/2/2021 ****************

WOW, I've been getting a LOT of downloads notices. I hope that means y'all like this remix.

I do want it to be known that I am NOT the ORIGINAL creator/author. I just took the files from others, cleaned up what needed to be cleaned up then repackaged the files into a hopefully easy to read and print archive.

PROPS and CREDIT goes to ALL of the original authors/creators, for without them I would never have been able to put this archive together!!

This is a remix of the "M79 Fun-Gun" remix by Sprung. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4244990)

I included a One Piece M433 HEDP 40mm Grenade by refleks. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2748043)

To accommodate the Grenade I resized most of the original parts to 97%. This allows a 40mm diameter grenade with an approximately 42mm base lip to be loaded into the Blooper
without any binding. The original dimensions allowed the grenade to slide right on through the barrel. Rather than resize the grenade I chose to resize the Blooper
so that other 40mm Grenades can be used.

I also edited the Stock in 3DS Max and fused it into one piece. I found that after many failed prints of the split stock that it was just too weak without going to a HIGH
infill. This also necessitated that the stock attachment needed to be modified. I removed the circular protrusions that would allow the one piece stock to slide onto the
attachment. Again, Your Mileage May Vary. (Original Part - https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/b7/9c/24/26/f7/stock_middle.stl)

I also found that the Remix by Sprung was missing a crucial part in the Archive. It WAS however available in the files list as a separate download.
(Front Stock - https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/25/9c/73/70/97/front_stock.stl)

I also included the Range Sight and Front Sight by Lukas Smejkal (HejkalCZE) from the "Bootleg M79 CYMA grenade launcher conversion kit". (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4863355)

To get the sight to "line up" on the barrel so that it doesn't overlap the front sight you MAY need to adjust the sight mount. Your Mileage/Tastes May Vary.

********* Airsoft Usage *********

The original design says that the Blooper is functional with Airsoft Gas Grenades. Not having been on the Airsoft Field in about a decade and the fact that I never owned
an Airsoft Gas Grenade I can NOT guarantee that this remix WILL work with YOUR Gas Grenade. IF you choose to use it on the Airsoft Field with a Gas Grenade, BEFORE printing
take measurements of YOUR Grenade and adjust the dimensions as needed.

********* DISCLAIMER *********

Every effort has been made so that the M79 can be printed with minimal fuss. HOWEVER every printer, filament, workshop ambient environment and slicer settings ARE DIFFERENT.
SOME post printing prep work like sanding and filing MAY be necessary. Personally I went through QUITE a bit of failed parts, adjustments, sanding and filing to get the first
make to go together. I would honestly say that I'd rate it maybe an 80% success. Some things could have been better, some settings better, some post print prep could have been better.
It took me about two weeks to print and assemble the first make. AGAIN, YMMV!

I included a Cura 3MF file with the Blooper "assembled" and grouped. In Cura's settings (Preferences/Configure Cura/General), uncheck "Automatically drop models to the build plate" then right click and "ungroup" the model. You can then move the parts around to see how it is assembled. And of course make any adjustments if necessary.
