3D model description

Printed on Wanhao fdm compatible Prusa i3, 0.4 mm nozzle

To liven up your N or HO pools, this waterslide prints from one block in its final position. The staircase is in several parts to be printed flat (except the steps), for the fineness of the details in fdm printing.

.

The printed slide comes out surrounded by supports (see photo), which should be detached gently: if your supports are of the "zig-zag" type, a small flat file operated in torsion allows to detach them without breaking.

All the files for the slide and its stairs are in the zip.

Important: Everything is to be printed by reducing to 10% the files provided for 1/160, to 18.39% for 1/87 (slicer option).

Stairs are in two parts "stairsdown" and "stairsup" for the steps.

The other files are the railings and pillars, intended to be printed flat (the flattest side against the board), which allows a very clean rendering directly (printing with a "brim" of a few millimeters or not depending on adhesion).

The assembly of the staircase :

1) glue the high and low steps enclosing in the middle "rampscenter1" (central railing).

2) glue from the bottom, face by face, turning following the staircase, the parts of the external railing: "rampesext1" ... up to "rampesext7"

3) finish the railings of the upper platform with the two small barriers "rampesext8" and "rampscentre2"

4) Position the support pillars from the ground. They are already connected in two blocks "right subbase" and "left subbase".

3D printing settings

Print by reducing the .stl files to 10% for 1/160 (N) and 18.39% for 1/87 (HO). In HO or N, the slide and staircase are compatible with a print volume of 20cmx20cmx20cm.

Printed in PLA, "everywhere" zig-zag supports, 100% filling (for N), "brim 8mm" tray cling, layer thickness 0.16mm

The slide and its staircase fit in a 10 cm square, for a height of about 6 cm in N.
