3D model description

EDIT: 2019/05/18 - I decided to separate the Ace and Squadron bases to make the entire set connectable to a common base. This is entirely optional, and uses slightly more plastic, and more magnets than the fixed AceSquadron_Dashboard.stl and Squadron_Dashboard.stls. Instead, you can print a number of Squadron_Dashboard_Base.stl's and as many Squadron_LeftHand_Base.stl, Squadron_RightHand_Base.stl and AceSquadron_Base.stl's as you need - the magnet spacings are the same.

Building on top of spugnoids excellent Ship dashboards for Armada, I created these Squadron dashboards. There are two dashboards, one for Aces and one for regular squadrons (which can support up to 4 squadrons of the same type).

The idea here is to minimise the amount of tracking on the game board; so each dashboard has an activation slider, two slots for standard 12mm Dice to track health, and a slot for the squadron ID token to identify the corresponding model. The Ace squadron dashboard also has two slots for Defense tokens. Corresponding dials with IDs are then attached to the squadron miniature base.

A 3mm diameter rod of length 7mm is required to prevent the activation slider from falling out. I used some spare perspex/acrylic rod I had lying around, and superglued the Squadron_Top onto the dashboards.

I also wanted to be able to remove unused squadron trackers, so utilised the 3mm diameter magnet idea from my connectable remix of spugnoids ship dashboards. I used these (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007JTKMA8/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

I've also included a sheet of numbered discs that can be stuck onto cardboard and used on the squadron bases themselves to make identification easier. Use a 1 1/4" circle punch to cut them out (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0090JVF7E/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza#). Alternatively, you can use the existing dials and a second squadron ID tag, but simply not use them to track health.
