Coat Hook or Towel Hook for Hinge Pin

This is a great little coat hook for when there's no room for a coat rack by the door. Also, handy as another towel hook in the wash room. I hung 10kg in it to test the strength using PLA and, no problem.

Knock out a hinge pin of the door you want to put it on. BE CAREFUL - if you remove a hinge pin from a door with only two hinges the door will fall down. You must support it. Preferably do it with the door closed so it can't fall. Then, slide the pin through the hole in the coat hook and reinstall the hinge pin with coat hook into the hinge.

Hole diameter is 6.85mm so it should work for common 6mm hinge pins as well as 1/4-inch hinge pins. Scale up or down as needed.

The top of the hook does not have any chamfers, so that no supports would be required for printing. This means you may want to smooth them out a bit after printing by sanding or filing.

No Support needed - all overhangs are 45° (or steeper) chamfers.
Print with the top of the hook down on bed - see slicer image.
If you have trouble with adhesion, consider using a small brim in your slicer.

Infill density 20%
Connect infill lines
... this is probably overkill.
