3D model description

I designed and printed a spacer for my buddies 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee's Center Console. This is for the standard console, not the locking console. I'm not sure if this will work on previous years of Jeep Grand Cherokee, but i know it works perfectly on the 2021 and 2022 year models.

They're pretty self explanatory, You simply print Part A and Part B, and they slide together nicely. There is a notch running through the middle of these, Top half on one and the bottom half on the other. These are 3.1mm wide, and said opening is 4mm leaving .9mm wiggle room. There is a series of wedges on Part A at the bottom, this is to help lock part B in its place and prevent it from wiggling around. Even at its current settings there is very little play in this and it stays pretty perpendicular to eachother, But if you want it even more snug, based on the orientation of my STL file, you could scale the x axis alone to 122% and it will widen this piece to about 3.75mm, leaving a total of .25mm of room in this gap. (Make sure you dont have the other axis locked to maintain proportions)

Also, I've included 2 versions of this, Version 2 and Version 3, The difference in these, is only that version 3 has the bottom corners beveled to hug the bottom of the center console more. The images i've attached to this, are version 2 as i printed the 2nd version and sanded/filed the bottom corners myself. Front to back on Part A Version 2, the bottom corner touches the beveled edge of the Center Console itself causing it to sit up 2-3mm. I spent 20 seconds sanding this corner for a tight fit, and then designed version 3 to soften these bottom corners so that no post print processing is required beyond cleaning the object itself.

Hope this helps someone.
