3D model description

Not all interstellar or in-system cargo gets transported in military dropships, so I re-modeled this source design into a civilian drop shuttle for your all-purpose basic inter-orbital transportation needs, at 6mm scale (it could also double as a HexMap-scale overlord proxy if you wanted).

This was a remix and fix-up of a Ferronischer cruiser model by ThomasHo. I've re-scaled it for 6mm to be a small cargo dropship and added some dressing details, including cargo bay doors and original landing legs (both open and closed - more for high G worlds).

This set is intended to be compatible with the other 6mm SciFi terrain sets I have uploaded. Search my other things for more.

In my mind, the fluff I've created associated with this design would mean that this type of ship is only armed with 1-2 small lasers (for defense against orbital debris) and only capable of transporting 5-6 shipping containers of cargo (or approx 30 tons); and/or 10 passengers for brief inter-orbital trips off-planet. It is designed to be a planet-to-orbit-&-back shuttle, and while it could be used for inter-planetary transport within a single system, this would be incredibly uncomfortable (minimal amenities for long-term low-G accommodation). And because the ship is too small for a standard docking collar, it would not generally be used to RV with or travel on JumpShips - although it would be possible with a heavily modified bespoke attachment (but that would be like putting expensive off-road 4WD mods on an old Honda Civic).

Please feel free to leave a tip if you like the model and think it is merited (and don't forget the original designers) - an occasional coffee helps fuel the creativity and effort and sustains morale :)

Alternatively, if you want to contribute a little, but still get something for your money, please see my unique designs on Cults 3D. For a small cost (half a coffee), I have a few unique 6mm building creations:
