FullMetal Alchemist The Silver Pocket Watch

Here it is, the Silver pocket watch from FullMetal Alchemist, It could be the most accurate representation so far, according to my research anyway.

Print as fine as you can to get the best result, but I separate the emblem on the top cover anyway, so that you can sand it better. As you can see from my picture, the sanding part is rather difficult.

You will need a 45mm domed watch glass cover, it isn't easy but you should be able to find it on Aliexpress or something.

Also you will need some 2mm metal rode or wielding filler, aluminium is better, cause it looks a bit like silver anyway;-)

And some 1mm paper clip for the hinge.

You will need to modified the locking mechanism I'm afraid. It works in theory with a 0.5x3mm spring, but depends on your print quality I suppose, it probably will not work.

Assembly should be fairly straight forward and plenty reference images online.

BTW, the rendering of the model got the watch face wrong, but the PDF is correct if you apply it just like the reference image.

Go have some fun. The Fullmetal Alchemist, the original 2004 version is one of my favourite anime, because at the time, manga was not finished and the production team pull ideas instead of waited, therefore it is more realistic and brutal. Or perhaps, at the time, more of the stories were just too childish?
