Update: 02/18/22. I made the clamp a bit smaller on the side that faces the user. It didn't need to be as thick as it was.

A side note. I tried this in TPU but given the tolerances of the screw it failed. I used the PLA screw and it just didn't hold. If you want to try TPU I would suggest using Tinkercad or MS 3D Builder an increasing the screw 0.1mm in width and height to create a bitter fit.

My wife broke the hinges on her laptop. This will keep the screen and the frame from separating. It will not allow the laptop to close but it will keep things from getting worse.

I tried to open this up and replace the hinges with what I got from Dell a long time ago. I DO NOT recommend do this. This was a 3-in-1 until that time but the cheap plastic connectors that hold the cables in place are EXTREMELY cheap and were broken when I opened it and crumbled into dust!

The threading is match standard sizes as I simply resized another clamp that I had.
