3D model description

This mount is designed to fit the Ultra Sonic Distance Sensor which can be found here ( https://amzn.to/3qFqTvB ). I created this mount because the traditional 3-pin parallax ping sensor is smaller, thus making the existing model too small to fit this larger one.

The mount is thick, robust, and within a fraction of a millimeter tolerance, so the fit is quite snug. Variations in sensor manufacturing tolerances may require light sanding of inner rings for proper fit.

3D printing settings

I have tested this model using the 0.20mm 100mm Linear Advance preset in Prusa Slic3r 2.2.0 with the following amendments made.

  • 6-perimeters
  • 7-top layers
  • 7-bottom layers
  • 35% infill
  • Gyroid Infill Pattern
  • Octagram Spiral Top and Bottom Pattern

Print time on a stock Prusa i3 MK2s is about 38-minutes and uses an estimated 6-grams of PLA filament.
