3D model description

My artist friend loved the size, angle, and adjustability of this tablet stand, but wanted to route cables under the front of it. (As pictured, she uses it with a Raspberry Pi built into a keyboard, running Raspbian and Krita for drawing.)

This modification also has one fewer piece to print than the original, and four fewer screws. On my printer at least, there's also better clearance around the screws, so that they slip-fit when passing through a piece but still fit snugly where they're screwed into the piece on the other side.

STL files for all parts are included, even the ones I didn't modify, for simplicity.

Print one of each and then a second of "Knob" and "Knob top cap." Any print settings you usually use are probably OK. I used PLA and PET with 0.2 mm layers. Infill doesn't need to be unusually heavy. Use several shells so the screws have something to bite into. For me it took about 200 g of PLA.

Insert an M3 nut into each Knob, then wedge the cap on.

Assemble the rest using 6 x M3 screws of length 14-16 mm, according to the photo and the diagrams on the original post. Screws go directly into the parts; I like to tap them with an M3 tap first, but it's probably not necessary.
