3D model description

A big evolution of my tire lathe using a more torquey motor and an off-the-shelf wheel support at a reasonable price.

The whole thing is built around 20x20mm aluminum profiles and 8mm linear axles without using bearings in order to remain compact. However, you'll need to adjust your printouts so that your parts slide without play or friction.

It's always possible to adjust a hole that's too small by blocking the 8mm axis in a screwdriver and "drilling" using this axis until the assembly slides correctly.

You'll need:

  • M5 and M3 screws

  • 20x20 aluminum profile, 230mm long

  • 8mm diameter optical axis, 154mm long

  • 12V 3500rpm motor 8mm axis
