Flexi print in place ! Nessie the sea monster ! ( 36 cm long )

May I introduce :

Nessie the sea monster !

I know he has certain resemblance with Monty the Python and somehow also with Octo.... But that is so intentional ;)

Many improvements, which I read about Monty have inspired me to Nessie.

Slightly larger head.

The head not so flat anymore.

Longer & round laid out on the print bed.

With a mouth that can be opened and closed.

A forehead horn to touch/move the model.

The ability to hang it up or attach it to a

Keychain to make.

A round opening below his head for a magnet.

A print in place model.

No supports or brim.

Easy to paint.

Fast inexpensive printing. ( About 7 hrs 35 grams )

Size 36 cm long !

After printing, there is only one thing that needs to be done....

Nessie is a bit cramped, so a thin screwdriver should be used to loosen his jaws ;)

Just push straight into his mouth and lever a little.

Watch your fingers and his ears while doing this !

Nessie was printed by me various times.

From large to small, with PLA + and also still with PLA.

My hope is that it will be fun for the big ones too!??

Now for the printing details:

To print it in original size it needs 18 cm print bed ! Scale down to 75% !

Anyone who has a well-calibrated printer should not need a Brim.

No supports needed Print in Place model !

The jaw needs some leverage through a small thin screwdriver

to be opened. Watch your fingers while doing this and his ears !

Printing should be done in a standard configuration of Cura with 0.2.

Speed -60

Printing lasts in normal size Approx. 7 hrs.

The print weighs Approx. 35 grams.

With a filling density of 16

I recommend PLA + or PLA. ( Others have not been tested ! )
