3D printing settings

Printing Instructions:

15% to 20% infill

Supports:

This is the tricky part. What supports do you use? We elected to use support everywhere. The issue with this is that there will be a lot of cleanup. The model is sturdy so that is not a problem. If you do not use supports everywhere the hearts will not look as nice. An option you have is if you print the model on its side. This should reduce the cleanup required. We think the effort was worthwhile since we like the final product. Just look at the photos.

If you use supports everywhere you typically have settings to adjust how removable the supports should be. We used a detachable 0.1 setting in our slicer. This produced the results we got. Another option if your slicer supports it is to use a detachable 0.2 setting. This may reduce the quality but make the supports easier to remove. It is up to you to determine what works best for you.

What is needed to clean napkin holder with supports everywhere:

needle nose plyers
hammer
small screw driver
wood to put in the center of the napkin holder as the supports are tapped out
patience to clean it up to your satisfaction
