3D model description

2/26/20 i have found a micro servo that works the way that it is supposed to work and my opinion has changed about these micro servos i have added a micro servo adapter and catch so you can use either micro or mini the micro is working quite well however because of the plastic shaft the catch has a tendency to move from the location that you put because you can not tighten the screw down tight enough to stop this after you find the sweet spot for your servo that stops at the end of the hitch travel and servo travel put a drop of nail polish or paint on the shaft before you screw down the catch this seems to work well

2/21/20 have finally found and received a mini servo and updated this from standard size to mini size servo the standard the rear diff rested directly on the servo now there is plenty of clearance between diff and servo for proper rear suspension

this uses a mini servo
i have tried to use a micro all the ones i have purchased had no power and are all pretty unreliable maby if you spent $60 on a micro it might work i just do not have the patients or money to waste anymore on those micro servos

i have included standard mini and micro servo stl's so you will know what you are looking for

this is mini not micro china has flooded the market with mini/micro servos so badly that it is next to impossible to find a mini servo now days do not buy one of these there is no such thing as a mini/micro servo either it is mini or it is micro these are micro not mini so be real careful when buying a servo a mini servo has 4 bolt holes the same as a standard a micro only has 2 this is the best way to determine what you are buying

this hitch is for the tamiya king hauler this fits my v2 model however the original tamiya you will have to remove a cross-member

i wanted to make it the same as the tamiya but it appears that they have used a different size smaller servo to fit into the space behind the cross-member i tried using a smaller servo but it seems that the smaller servos are gutless wonders and could not move the release arm

also it appears that the orig version you lose the ability to manually release the hitch no good for me i want manual release also

so this hitch meats all the demand you can also release manually and this also enables a safety that you can not put the servo into reverse and damage the hitch servo ect ect

use a y connector from the receiver ch 4 and acc on the sound board that enables light modes

use m3 screws and bolts to mount the servo and screws for plastic elsewhere
i have included all the hitch parts but only the servo and new arms are required to change over to this new hitch also you must remove the switch cover as well all other parts are the same
