3D model description

The engineering ingenuity of the Deceptions definitely are boundless when we saw how Megatron put together this Giant Purple Griffin for their evil plans in the Middle East.

Definitely something which seems apt to be re-created in the CyberBase Tracks size for interplay with other Titans!

Much like the Griffin we saw in the series, this recreated model comes with a lot of articulated joints to allow for various different poses to be achieved.

The griffin features wings which can be folded upwards or downwards, with upper wing parts which can be extended or retracted. A pair of missiles sit under the each of the wings, allowing effect parts to be added on either the front 3mm peg or a rear 5mm port.

The main body of the griffin doubles up as a CyberBase Tracks compatible transport area, accessible via either a front or rear door. With the door opened, Cyberbase Tracks can be placed inside and extended outwards and connected to other track pieces, or other Earthrise or Titans Returns tracks if you have those handy!

Aside from simply standing up, the legs can be folded to allow for a rather Sphinx-like sitting pose for the Griffin.

But wait, that's not all --- the front portion of the Griffin's head also packs an optional swappable piece which comes with twin head canons, which are sized to allow for blast effects to be added on too!

=== ASSEMBLY ===

There are many different parts to this build so to help things along, here's a handy assembly chart (showing only the Left side of parts where there is a mirror-imaged Right side, to reduce visual confusion).

As usual, we make use of 5mm pegs to connect things up, but also use two thinner 4mm pegs for the hinges of the front and rear doors. These are most easily cut down to length by from acrylic rods, which should be available by hobby or craft shops.

Alternatively, here are the acrylic rods from

5mm Rod - https://amzn.to/3ebyBbL

But if those are a little difficult to come by for you, the full set of pegs in 3d printable format have also been provided with this set (in a subfolder in the zip file). They are placed as shown in the attached diagram.

Well then, will your copy of this giant purple griffin finally help your Deceptions win the war for resources? Only one way to find out!

Happy 3d printing! =)
