3D model description

This is an ammo case that replaces the issue on standard ammo can. It has removable infill and so the infill can be preloaded and then switched out to go to the range easily using the carry handle. The included infill accepts .308, 7.32x51, and 6.5 Creedmoor. It may accept more but I have not tried it. This is set up so you can mold a silicone gasket to make it waterproof as well. It is a great size to throw in a backpack or under a seat and allows you the ability to get a quick count on your ammo. Each one houses 294 rounds and has has an ammo density of about .871 rounds per cubic inch.

This case also uses 3 hinges and 5 latches, 16/ m3- .5 x 20 screws, 2/ 1/4 x 3/4 socket cap screws and 2/ standard 1/4 nuts.

3D printing settings

I printed with PLA at .3 layer height. After this print is finished its a good idea to do a moderate sand on the outside of the infill and possibly the inside of the case to assure straight forward removal on infill when needed. A couple of the ammo tubes in the infill seemed a tiny bit tight so I put a spent casing in a drill a "reamed" them and all was well.
