3D model description

As all owners of TronXY X5SA are aware, it can be very difficult to keep the bed level. The lead screws are attached directly to the shafts on the dual-Z steppers and with just a light touch one side can slide out of sync with the other. Even disengaging and re-engaging the steppers can wind up slipping a step or two.

There are two options to address here.

Option #1: Print two copies of the 'Stepper Bed Hat' and attach to the Z-stepper motors. Before you print tram the bed all the down so both sides sit flush on top of the hats. Then tram the bed back up to Z=0 and level with bed screws. Now, before every print you can tram the bed down to the hats ensuring you are level and ready to print. By default the stepper voltage is low enough that you can force the bed onto the hats and let one side skip a bit. If you have a decent piece of glass on the bed it will likely float down to the hats when the steppers are disengaged anyway.

Option #2: Purchase a Z-Sync kit consisting of two T8 GT2 timing pulleys and the appropriate loop of GT2 cable for your model (1210mm for the X5SA 400). Unfortunately the loop is a little loose on my printer and it can slide out by a step or two. So, print the tensioner, attach a GT2 pulley and M5 bolt and there will now be enough tension to keep the motors well synced and likely enough tension to stop it from floating to the bottom.
