3D model description

Always been an avid chairsofter. I've purchased several SRU products and wanted to build out a collection of 3D printed airsoft guns and rifles.

A favourite was the original Magpul FPG. I missed that one as I had come to the sport a bit late. But over the years I've been collecting manuals from online sources. Using the manuals and parts diagrams I've come up with this project. I thought it would be neat to try and make something similar.

Hopefully you will consider downloading it and be able to enjoy what I've put together.

Too bad I can not upload videos. It's really more interesting seeing it unfold. The images only give you an idea of what the butterfly knife action looks like.

Folding frame for Tokyo Marui Glock 17. Airsoft use only.

Printing the parts should be straight forward. Assembly will entail a bit more effort.

Will require varied lengths of M2, M3 and M4 screws. Some of which are grub screws as you can see in pictures.

Will require springs to achieve the flip open effect.

Trigger is spring loaded to open.

Grip is spring loaded to open and lock in place.

Stock is spring loaded to open and lock in place.

Cover with picatinny rail is latched in place.

Charging handle floats but is held in place by the upper receiver of the G17. Use charging handle to cock first round.

Holds compression quite well. My version of the folding frame has been lengthened so I could use a 6.03 180mm barrel.

My TM G17 has been upgraded with 3 items.
1> longer barrel.
2> poseidon 13.5mm cylinder head.
3> poseidon valve (gold version).

At the moment it is shooting at 1.15-1.2 joules. About 350-360 FPS on .20 6mm bb.

After printing this frame. Almost all parts from your TM G17 will be transferred to it. The main difference will be the trigger assembly. Because the trigger needs to fold down in order for the frame to close I have designed a trigger block assembly to accommodate this.

3D printing settings

infill 80
wall count 4
build at .2 layer height

i used PLA and had good solid results. very durable. flipped open over 100 times. put through over 2,000 rounds. still in very good shape.
